What has been your biggest challenge in raising your teen?

I have a fifteen year old son. He has little interest in school. He demonstrates cognitive ability but doesn't express interest in his school work. He doesn't do homework and has lost his ambition ever since he has gone to high school.

I have been working on shifting the 13 to 1 ratio for negatives to increasing the number of positives. I have our fifteen year old a card of encouragement each week. I have to say at first he responded with "what is this all about?" But as we have continued he has started to show a softer side. Nothing to write home about yet but we do have a change.
